Mitch, glad to hear that all turned out OK, and your little baby is back in her "house".

Enquiring minds want to know about Sparkle's parking job. Are there pictures around, or was this a one time show and tell affair? :D

I don't know where the original post is? But this is a recap. Beth needs to put this in a place named, "Do Not Do". Would be a good place for ALL of our boo-boos.

THANK YOU, Echo!
Photographic proof that my little mishap wasn't near as bad!
You still hold the highest honors, Sparkle!! Congratulations!
And lucky for me, my rescuers "do front yards" (unlike your 'M'am, we don't do beaches...)

Did you ever tell us (this second time around) how you finally got out?

I'm glad everything turned out okay, Mitch.
And, just in case anyone needs this for future info, Good Sam also doesn't do off-road, as in geocaching and stuck in the sand. At least it was just my pickup.

I beg to differ!!!!! i had a severe storm out in the Gulf of Mexico! I had an abnormally high tide! What did Mitch have? A little sprinkle of rain. Excuuuuse me?
Anyway, I unhitched the truck, which went "Sprooooiiiiing" when it released. I put it in 4 wheel drive, no, it wouldn't pull the TT out in 4 wheel. Then I filled in the huge trench I had dug with the wheels and was making a wood path to back up onto when some kindly fishermen came to my rescue (I have always depended on the kindness of strangers, said Blanche) One guided me back and the other stuffed plywood under my wheels. I got hitched up again, and they said take off slow, and don't stop, don't wave or anything just keep going. They followed me to a paved road to make sure I was okay and I gave them a bottle of hooch.

Yeah, Highest Honors for Dumbest Parking...she does STILL deserve that. But I think she has a twofold purpose here - one - make excuses for WHY she has those wonderfully dramatic pictures to go along with the Highest Honors, and two - stir the pot.

And I can say all that, too because, (said Blanche) “I’m not young and vulnerable any more.”

Dumbest parking? Maybe. However, you did a masterful job of trying to make the best of a rotten situation and were well on your way to getting unstuck. All I did was call a tow truck.

Lesson learned: Keep a few bottles of hooch/beer on hand for situations like that. Doesn't hurt.

Okay, if there is going to be a prize let it be a glass filled with Bourbon and Ginger. Thank you. Thank you very much.

If I can channel Madonna, (singing, Don't Cry for me Argentina) I guess I can channel Marilyn Monroe and gag down some Champagne.
On another post we were speaking about who Sharon looked like. Don't you think I'm beginning to look like Martha Stewart? I already have her beeetchiness!

Since you keep changing that avatar, Sparkle, it's hard to know the real you  However, judging from Mitch's ability to make anyone look any way she likes, maybe she can help with a "Martha Stewart" look. carold
