Unfortunately the FitZip Zio has been retired by Fitbit, therefore any you find have dated batteries which are not replaceable.

I just bought a new Fitbit Zip the one I posted the Amazon link to and it works on Energizer 357 batteries you can find anywhere. I did have to update it to sync with my computer. I don't know about the FitZip Zio you mentioned.

BJ, I'm sorry I did not explain better. Yes you can find a Fit Zip new in packaging, but it's not newly made because they are no longer made, which means that new looking item has been out of the factory sitting somewhere waiting for purchase. Batteries even though never used are dated. According to the Fit Bit company they stopped manufacture of the Zip. so, it looks new but won't hold up as long due to age. Kind of like tires. You can buy brand new looking never used tires, but if they were manufactured a couple of years ago per date code, you go by date code, not by "I just bought them new on Amazon". Obviously FitBits dont have a date code but you can go by when last manufactured as to how old the batteries are.

I have an Android phone. Are there any that work with that?

Barbara, the FitBits devices work with Android. I know people who have Android and FitBit. That said, don't spend a lot right now. Rumor at Curves is, they ate developing a way to use their new Wellness Living app with a device, we just don't know which yet. Any of the FitBit devices will work. With Android for now, you only pay bigger bucks if you want features such as heart rate.
Go to the Fitbit.com site and they have a comparison chart and FAQ I found helpful when I chose mine in2017.

Thank you Velda. I will check that out. Good to know about Curves.

Barbie there are plenty of free apps for the Android for step counts, many even keep track of calories, and so much more etc. I have a FitBit but will probably not buy another one as these apps work pretty good. I do like the features on the Charge 3 tho. If I am working in my yard my fitbit will vibrate and I can see who is calling on it or what the text says and it is a great watch. It does other things too but those are the things I mainly use. I too have an Android (not an Apple girl LOL)
