Enjoyed a New Year's Eve with my son and his wife, and the friends I am staying with. We snacked and watched ball drop. Swapped stories of the last year and just enjoyed each others company.

I went to walk a dog at 9 pm, ran to the gas station to gas up the Jeep ($1.98/gal! how could I resist it?) then went home to read in bed. Didn't even hear the fireworks or the dog when they woke him up at midnight. I'm such a party animal.....

Spent the evening with some of my kids and grandchildren here in Portland. Hugged and kissed a two-year old granddaughter at midnight. Toasted with a glass of champagne and peach juice. Wonderful!
