We heat with propane and last week we were able to get a 100 gallons (the limit for anyone) at $3.59 a gallon. We're fortunate that our house is super insulated and we have two infrared heaters that manage to keep the house at 68*. Some people are suffering.
My mind works like lightning...one brilliant flash and it's gone.

Our son in MN said a week or so ago that they were being limited as to how many gallons of propane they could buy per delivery and that the cost had nearly quadrupled from earlier in the heating season. He said everyone there uses propane to heat homes and with record cold it was causing shortages and add to that somewhere in the area natural gas line broke and so propane was being used by some, in small backup heaters I suppose, to keep from freezing in their homes so sons area was being asked to make do with less, turning heaters way down so house was like 55. Definately not a fun winter in the Midwest, so glad I live in CA.
