This is very interesting and there are listings near Salome, AZ. I've sent it on to LeRoy - I'd rather he wait until I get there, but he can use something new to look for

I checked a little further and there was one in Livermore, CA less than a mile from where Beth, Annie and I will have a dinner GTG tonight. Unfortunately the additional information indicates as of 1968 the beacon was removed and apparently no sign left of it. I looked at a map and the area is all built up now. No sign of an airfield left. Darn!
