There are financial factors that should be considered. If you have serious health issues or your immediate family died young, you might want to start collecting SS as soon as possible. You will most likely get more benefit than waiting for the higher monthly benefit. However if you do, you will be limited as to how much you can earn if you continue working. If you do not have adequate savings or other income streams, you should work as long as possible and wait for full retirement age before collecting SS.
