On My Way

Postby Joan » Sat May 25, 2019 11:25 am

Well, I have taken the first two steps to full timing. I closed on my house on 5/21 and gave my notice that I am retiring the next day. My last day of work will be 6/28. I guess I already am full timing since I have been living at Champoeg State park for the last week.

I currently own a teardrop trailer. It will be my home for the time being. Going to be traveling for the rest of the year to see how it goes. I do have a plan if I need to get something bigger.

I will probably be posting more often on the forum with annoying newbie questions.

For now, I am 'off to the far fars.'

Have fun. You will be doing something if you can full time in a tear drop. After moving up to a motorhome with a slide and automatic levelers I sometimes miss the simpler motorhome. Less things to go wrong.

Congrats on retirement and finally being able to hit the road. Exciting time for you. Ask away and then figure out what works for you.

Joan, ask any question you like. I am sure someone here will answer. Also: there is no such thing as "annoying newbie questions". :D

Have a great time on your trip!! Let me know when you get back and maybe we can get together for some camping!

I look forward to hearing how full-time life in the teardrop goes for you.

Sorry you won't be back in time for the gtg in Redding in October. If your plans change please don't forget about it!

Hey, Joan, I am in Champoeg for three nights and sent you a private message with my site number. Hope you can stop by sometime. I am going to get my bike out tomorrow and clean it up, plus put some air in the tires!

Congrats Joan. I too will be interested in how camping in a Tear Drop works out. If you ever get over MI way, give me a holler. And yes, ask all the questions you want.
