Lyn and I pull into a nice little City park in Ellinwood, Ks. For $8.00 they have water and electric, four sites and FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED - NO RESERVATIONS. When we pull in there is a 40-45 Phaeton with four slides and a car painted to match in one of the sites. He has cones blocking the site behind him so we pull into the two across from him. He promptly comes over and tells us there is another city park with hookups a few blocks down by the football stadium. I say, "Thanks but we want to be by the pond". He then says one of our hookups only has 20 amp. We tell him that's okay cause we have a stepdown. Then he asks how long we're staying. He wasn't "exactly" rude - more like we were bothering him. I thought I was diplomatic by NOT telling him he wasn't supposed to be "holding" a site for his friend, that the rules DID apply to him.
Why is is always men that seem to have this attitude that we as women are supposed to do what they want; that the rules DON'T apply to them?????
I posted a couple of pictures on FB of this little park. Its pretty if you don't look behind to the building with a bunch of big propane tanks. Its quiet and has a bunch of pretty ducks and geese on the pond and a couple of picnic tables where I"m meeting Lyn for our wine at 5:00 pm.
