That looks like a good sized Alligator. I was wondering if there was a hunting season on Alligators in Texas and there is. The farms here have to turn so many loose that I consider them a nuisance.

There sure are a lot of pretty birds there. It looks like you just wore Simba out.

BEAUTIFUL pictures Liz I would love to be there with y'all. I especially liked the Harris hawk but the rest of the shots were also just amazing. Sima looks like he's had enough excitement for the day.

That was fun, and my kind of day. I enjoyed learning the new birds from the area. Such beauty. Nice shooting, too,

Paul, our bird leader, said no hunting of Big Al the Alligator here at CCSP. Could be because it is federal land, managed by the state, or something like that. Don't know, but weren't supposed to be deer hunting here either. Midnight poachers got some of those big bucks.

But lots of nice birds here and lots of nice water. We have had a really great time. Simba kind of like this birding stuff. Even Bandit likes this place. What's not to like?

GREAT pics. So glad you got an opportunity to upload them - cuz I sure am enjoying them. And you got that Mexican bird I only say - love your picture. I'll have to go there sometime - awesome birds.

Great pictures Liz!!

Just had to laugh at Simba, nose down and sound asleep!! Poor little puppy, all worn out from the fresh air and excitement!

Great photos Liz! You really have a knack for getting those birds close-up and so clear (before they fly away!)
Poor Simba looks like he had a long day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
