Have done a few blog posts recently - but tonight did one including a Civil War tour and a beautiful moon rising here. If you're interested.

What a perfect place; just lovely; with a great distant view across the lake and the just the presence of the water so close...how perfect and peaceful. And, great photos. Wish you would have included photos of the "idiot". I soooo, understand...I figure any day now someone will camp right next to me although there are literally hundreds of acres of wide open spaces to choose...

Hopefully, your new neighbor is temporary and not working at Amazon.

What a beautiful site you have, Beth, at least before the "idiot" moved in next door. I'd love to be there hiking with you....but just not working with you. Those were gorgeous moon shots you got.

Thanks for letting us know to check the blog....very nice site. But I so love the water views..... Hope someone at the park had the sense to "tutor" your neighbor in how to park on a camp site.

Enjoyed the tour but really liked the moon rise. Did you know the November full moon is called the beaver moon?
From Farmers Almanac:

"• Full Beaver Moon – November This was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze, to ensure a supply of warm winter furs. Another interpretation suggests that the name Full Beaver Moon comes from the fact that the beavers are now actively preparing for winter. It is sometimes also referred to as the Frosty Moon."

Nice view. I can see why you are enjoying your stay at that park.

Beautiful place. I always have a sense of sadness when visiting a Civil War site..a real tragedy for our country. Back to a happier note, I'm happy you have this peaceful place to come back to after a hard day. Peaches must have some lab in her :o
