Good Morning everyone...My Grandson is going back to school to get credits that he needs to enter college. He's signed up for night school & one of the classes is American History. He hates history (he says) but guess this is a class he has to take. I immediately thought of Liz and all the places she's traveled along the eastern coast. These areas & places mesmerized me ... I was absolutely awed. Anyway, I told Thomas...let me share some 'history' of this country we are so blessed to live in...because I think that might give you a whole different attitude about our American history....so I went to try to find her posts so I could send Thomas the e-mail with the info & he could download it...anyhow, is there an easier way to access her travels so I can help show this 'California' kid that there is much more to see than just this state & there is history that is fascinating on the eastern side of our great nation. Any help will be very much appreciated............................

I've kept up with the places I've been - highly recommend the post on Valley Forge, as that's a part of American History - that particular post of mine is here:

Unfortunately, unless he has a better teacher than most of us had - American History classes are boring - memorize places, facts, dates - with none of the excitement about it. At least that's how I felt. In college I finally had a history professor who made history come alive. I started taking history courses as electives if I could get in his classes.

History was NOT my subject. However, I could have been a little more interested had I known about genealogy and could have connected ancestors with some of the major events!
