Had a brief note from Carol. Said she tried to post on forum but got kicked off. Wanted me to let al know she is on the road.

She and Maggie are traveling via car for the first time ever (RV problems) and are going to Kansas to see grandson in rodeo. She did not say whether or not they planned to continue to Colorado as originally planned.

Thanks for letting us know she made the decision to go ahead with the trip. I've been wondering what she decided.

I, too, was wondering about Carol, since we haven't heard from her since she went home with her motorhome problem. I hope she has a great time.

Thank you Sarah, for letting everyone know I did try to let everyone know we are on the road. Took plan B, after Sarah, sent me links of hotels who would allow Maggie, we were off !!! We've had a lot of adjusting to do, no potties handy, no nice places for a good walk and lugging all this stuff up and down stairs. I do like the 2nd floor better though. You all are not going to believe this, but in Tn. my room # was 217, here in Kansas, guess what it is, yes 217 !!!

I will meet some of my family this evening in Hays, and yes, I will go on to their home in Co. Haven't come this far not to have a good visit, never can tell when, if or how I might get another chance. Not sure I will have another chance to write on forum, I'll try , sure hoping this goes this morning and I don't mean just POOF either.

That storm coming up the east coast, all of you over there take care!! Nice time not to be home, for me.

Take care everyone, thanks for all your encouraging remarks for me to go ahead and make my trip in the car. Car drives nice, but r.v. is soooo much more convient and comfortable, and Maggie is setting here saying a big YES to that !!!

Crossing my fingers here that this will post,
CArol :)

Thanks, Sarah for the update. And even better, yay, CArol made it on herself. Glad to hear you decided to go anyway. I missed the thread about the mh trouble :( Sorry to hear that. But yes to all those who were able to help you decide to not cancel and just do it another way. Have a GREAT time.

I'm glad you decided to make your trip and not let the RV problems get you down. I know it's so much more convenient having an RV. I hate lugging my stuff to a motel. I had several rounds of brake problems and you feel like you are snake bit. Every bump in the road you think something is wrong. I haven't had a problem this year so hope they finally got it fixed. Have a good trip.

Sorry to read about rv troubles Carol; but YAY that you decided
to hit the road anyway. Way to make lemonade AND miss the storm
(hurricane)! Hope the rodeo was fun.
