Another Enzo update

Update on my friend's preemie:
Enzo is up to 3 lbs 3 oz and 15 inches long!! Today he was placed on a high-pressure nasal oxygen cannula! This is a huge step, as he is transitioning to breathe on his own completely. Today was the first day that was able to see his entire face and head for longer than 5 minutes... crazy espcially since he is almost a month old! Enzo and I really cuddled today, because without the cpap tubes we could really snuggle. He is growing stronger every day!

Enzo's mother must have felt she was holding heaven in her arms...what wonderful strides have been made with preemies in the last 30+ years.

What an amazing picture that is of Enzo and his Mommy! I just love it! It's mind-bogling how far we have come with the care of premature babies, and how so many are saved and nurtured to the 'take-home' weight limits with no complications whatsoever. Thanks for this great update!
