Li...hoping the job comes through for you. Was wondering if your house had sold yet. Take care and keep us updated on what your plans are.

hope you get your job on the left coast, and being paid to move that rv there is an added bonus. Will cross fingers and toes that your house sells quickly and won't have to wait too long to find out about the new job location.

And there in lies the problem with the left coast.

You were missed.(Mitch did also, only she won't admit it. Cut down her meanness, her life blood)

I can relate to wanting to leave the east coast. Here's hoping the universe makes the decision you want. I agree with Martha that you can always retire. Linda

Honestly girls, do you really think this middle-aged lady can read that TEEENY-TINY print? Altho now I find that by doing the quote thing, I can actually read those eensy words.

Thanks Ladies! You are all so terrific! I have lowered the price of the townhouse again ... still within the realm of my walking away without having to pay anything if sold. So we'll see...again. Maybe this is the magic number. Now that I have actually put in the application for the new job and the decision is out of my hands, I'm finding I'm really ok with either decision. I'm just going to have to be more frugal than I intended. But lots of people do it every day. If I can just keep the faith that the house will sell. I don't mind being a landlord...but it is so much more difficult when you know you can't carry the mortgage if the renters break a lease. If I'm working, then I can carry the mortgage. So selling the house really is a pivot point for so many near future decisions. Again, tho, it's all out of my hands at this point! And I hate not being in control!!! :? ;)

Li, I hope it works out for you. I think you should take the job, if it is offered, and live in your RV while you work to be sure you like the job before buying a sticks/brick home. Maybe you'll like the job and living in the RV. I have thought about returning to the classroom for the money but the thought of all that work that goes into facing a class everyday, well, I'm just tired of that for now. Perhaps I will return to the classroom next year, who knows. My license is valid through 2013 and they need teachers everywhere. I like your idea of putting it in the hands of the universe. Will keep good thoughts for you so please let us all know.
