Well, I made to Vickie's, but not without my usual drama...But first I spent 2 awesome days with Birdie at Stephen Austin State Park. She was able to get away for a couple of days to meet for a short GTG. I was so bummed that I wasn't going to get to see her, but bless her heart, she made it happen. And she cooked me a great steak dinner when I got there. We also discovered a great new taste treat....she made a fruit salad to go with dinner and as we started eating it, she said wait a minute. Went to the back of her rig and came back with a bottle of white chocolate liquer. Oh Wow! talk about a taste bud explosion! We (well, she did, I waited for her to try it first ) poured it over the fruit and was that good! We both sent our lady manners outside and drank the last of the liquer from the bowl. Had a great visit, she came up with a couple of ideas to shade Hope's front window, so off we went to the auto parts store. Bought some dark window film, and after managing to wrap myself in it trying to get it on the window....it works like a charm! Sure was nice yesterday morning driving over here to Vickie's. I cooked Wed nite, wasn't all that great, but filled us up. One of those frozen things you see in the store that looks good, but....Let me just say don't buy the TGIF chicken and cheese!
So anyway, back to the trip to LA...stopped on my way out of the park to check the car, somehow managed to lock the steering, got back in Hope, and she wouldn't go. Crap! Back to the car, now I've got everything in a bind, key won't turn, Man I'm hatin' life!! Finally managed to get the wheel turned enough to get the key on, started it, everything seems fine, made sure this time the key was on acc...and made it in to Sulphur. Turned into Vickie's driveway and bounced the car over a bump, I thought it was going in the ditch, so I nailed it and made it in. Ronnie the Wonder Man is sitting in the garage laughing his butt off, so I just kept inching Hope closer to him....he stopped laughing... Soooo, don't have many pictures, but here's what I've got so far:
