Update on Carole

Surely it isn't an insurance thing...they do call the shots. I had to fight for a hysterectomy 10 years ago. They made me go through a DNC first, even though I was bleeding to death. When I finally got the surgery, I had cancer. On the subject of this dreaded disease, why haven't they found a cure? My guess is they have but the bucks generated by this disease are astronomical. It's a sad thing if we have come to this kind of politics in our country...a purge is needed and my guess is it's not long coming. Carole will have many WRV friends lifting her in prayer.

Thanks for the update on Carole, Karen. Please add my hug to the rest. And I echo the question of why they did not do a complete and total hysterectomy at the initial surgery in January. I think there needs to be some follow up with that doc.

Thinking of Carol today and wondering how she is doing since the surgery.

Carole is doing pretty well and feeling better each day. It will be a couple more weeks before the staples come out. they kept her in the hospital for three days and she wasn't allowed to eat solid foods - fed her thru a tube. The last day when they came in to weigh her she was sure she had lost some weight (said hopefully) but found she had gained eight pounds from the liquids they had been pumping into her. Needless to say, she was annoyed. Said is wasn't fair that she hadn't been able to taste anything for days and had GAINED weight.

Like Carole, I'd be annoyed by that also. Glad to hear it's all going well and hope she's able to travel with you soon. I know you'd both enjoy that.
