It is pretty neat but I think I would rather have a corner bed like Beth's that was there all the time AND the couch area. But I guess I'll have to give up the beautiful shower and bathroom area, sigh.......

I believe I was in that. If not that, another that had a murphy bed. It had one major (for me) downside. You couldn't use the bed without the slide out. The salesman told me you never would use your motorhome with a slide without putting it out. Another salesman that didn't know what he was talking about. But that's how they sell things.

Love the idea. Hopefully someone will figure out to combine the two ideas - like that Safari Trek - and not require the slide out to use it. I didn't know if the bed could be stored "made" like the Trek could. That would be necessary, also.

Thanks for the link Sarah - was fun to look at again.

That is one nice unit. I seems to have a lot of storage for a rv of that size. Beth, I think you are right, the slide has to be out in order to use the bed. that wouldn't work for me. It also looked like he was in jail when using the shower :D The price is high, but it looks nicely made. Linda

Yeah, Beth, I'm with you, you can't beat the layout of the Trek. More manufacturers should do that. Big reading room and big kitchen in those. There are a couple more that are out of business that made great floor plans but darned if my brain will co-operate this morning to remember who they were. One of them made the camper we had when DH and I had when we got married. The camper was spacious and he kept talking about how great the rv's were. When I finally got a chance to see one I fell in love with it. A very small "A", but boy you talk about storage and floor space! They were made in Canada.

I didn't see any reason the slide needed to be out in order to use the bed. Guess I missed that, but I do agree that I don't like the "murphy bed" idea in this unit. Also the computer desk/table top area is almost non-existant. Not a selling point for me.
I did like the bathroom and all the storage. Kitchen area is fairly normal (have to think about a round sink ;) ), like the pull out can goods drawer. I miss that.
Absolutely wouldn't want a unit with leather seating, tho.

I still like the Trek much better than this one and there is NO storage outside that is big, just small areas except the one off the back. I vote NO if I had the choice and lottery money. I'd buy a used Trek or a Class C with twin beds in the back. I've always wanted a 2nd RV to take trips with just my Aunt and I sometimes..We love casino hopping. :D

The main thing I didn't like was that you have to clear the table before you can go to bed! I don't know about you all, but my table is generally covered the whole time I am parked! It is my computer desk, my dining table, etc. I'd much rather have a standard bed already made up and I'm with you on the round sink Lenora! Not sure I could get used to that either!

That rig is made for vacations and weekends. Certainly not made to full-time in. The reason so much storage in bathroom is that the overhead storage normally available in the living/dining area is non-existent. But it also has crap for outside storage too. But the idea is like an 'efficiency apartment'. I know you gals remember those. Looks about the same size, too. I'd be willing to bet some folks could full-time in that unit too. I have seen folks full-time in a 17' Casita TT being towed with a Chevy Suburban - course the suburban had most of their stuff that needed to be stored. Got to have that 'stuff' if you full-time! But Liz's RT is much larger space wise with the twin beds at 22'. More storage, too.
