The Seasons First Trip

Postby Colliemom » Tue Jun 28, 2011 2:57 pm

Here it is, almost July 4th and I am just now getting around to posting the pictures of the seasons first trip that I took back on Memorial Day  . But I guess better late than never. Actually I am having problems with my photo reducing program, not to mentoin a miserable cold in June and so forth and so forth. I knnow, I know, you are all saying so.......

Anyway, here are some pictures of my first trip which was to Aloha State Park. Those of you who have been on this forum for awhile, know that i have been to this park a number of times, so I have not taken a lot of pictures of the park this time. But I was on the lake again, actually the same site that I was on when I took my first trip up there a year ago.

So it's on the road again, finally, after a long winter. Here we are heading north on I-75 with a big grin on my face.

All set up by the lake. As you can see, it was kind of cloudy up there.

And the new name sign was put out for the first time

Itwas pretty quiet on my end of the park

It was a peaceful evening along the boat basin and the south campground

The Memorial Day mid morning entertainment. Watching the rigs rolling up to "dump" before heading home. It took quite awhile for this line to go down. It was fun watching the "rolling RV show". All kinds of makes, models and sizes.

This park is a geat place for spectacular sunsets. A great way to watch the close of day. And yest those dark clouds did drop some rain and a brief thunderstorm on us during the night.

Nice trip Sue. Love the green the view you had. The sunset is a real beauty. Could just sit there and watch that with a little bottle of wine. (Okay a big bottle of wine). Thanks for sharing.

Now, thats my idea of a really neat campsite, right next to the water. I enjoyed your camping trip Sue, I really got a chuckle out of the long line for the dump station  I've been in them, but also set and watched the long line and you're right all sizes, shapes and its fun to watch. Its really nicer if you can have your stay end on a week day, not a Sunday, is what I have discovered. Usually no lines at all.

So glad you are doing your thing now, and you sound so much better. I know things are not right yet for you, but its best just to enjoy whatever you can in each day, thats been my motto, most of this year :) That way you haven't wasted your days stewing about something that can't be fixed as fast as we'd like.

A while back someone suggested you make name signs to sell. Yours looks great, you wouldn't have to make them as nice as yours, but you're so handy you might be surprised how many would be interested in them. A thought(again).

Take care and I hope you have many camping trips, that we get to see the area you're in. Michigan is a lovely state and I love seeing the pix. Sure appreciate your efforts to get them posted for us.
Thanks,
CArol :)

What a beautiful campground and campsite. No wonder you like it so much. I think it might have been a little cool for us Texans but the green is really nice. Your sign looks absolutely great! Think Carolinagal is right. Simplify your sign a bit so you can do some mass production and tailor with the little hanging names. Fulltimers make money in all sorts of different ways like this--why not you? You have real talent.

Great pics, Sue! And what a neat-looking site you had! I had forgotten that your trailer had that wonderful front window that I wish mine had.....i love lots of light and to be able to see all around. Your sign is very impressive out there in front! Thanks for taking the time to post the pics!

 Thanks for sharing your 2011 maiden campout. What a beautiful CG! I, too, was amazed at the line at the dump station.
