Herschel here.....

She finished up her last commitment judging yesterday. Her work is over for the season. The Honda is all prepared to be a Toad and here I sit in the middle of this!

I knew that those of you ladies that have already sorted, shredded, sold and given away stuff can guess what sort of valuable documents ended up in the garbage bags next to the shredder. Who knows why human beings save stuff? I think the GHL had a certificate for every inservice and Continuing Education Contact hour she ever attended. Not anymore. And don't even ask about the old bank statements. Thank goodness for on line banking. Anyways, she kept muttering that she needed to eliminate the clutter in the files....I was just hoping that she didn't consider me part of the clutter. ;) Not everything got shredded but may things were "let go of" and several other dreams were reawaken just by opening a file full of memories......Still more to do, but I will do my best to remind her that the house is not for sale or going anywhere soon, so that maybe we can get on the road by next week sometime. She can always sit here in August and declutter some more. There is the upstairs to tackle, yet! :)

Hershel, maybe when the GHL isn't looking, you could grab some of that stuff in your mouth and go stick it under the beds, that way you could get outta there! Maybe Remi would even help you. :D

Thanks for the decluttering inspiration - now I have to get back to work.

The GHL told me that I get to meet some more of her cousin's. We are traveling to Annapolis, MD for their annual family reunion over the 4th of July weekend. The oldest cousin has invited us to camp on the lawn and us his electric. Interesting that the Pottery Maker (the husband in the recliner) has already figured out that we will need to leave next week to have time to wander on the way east. After the 4th we will need to wander our way back towards the Smokies by the following weekend because "Hannah's Girl" (the DD with Hannah being her 12 yr old Golden) wants us to come camping with her and take the hooman's rafting down some river. After that we don't know. Other than neither of us want to head back to Ohio if we don't have to. What we do know is that there are several sisters in TN this summer and Pauline is planning to pass through in July....hum the possibilities are many! :)
