re cold temps...do y'all make up your beds or just roll out a sleeping bag? On another forum, one of the guys said he and his wife find it easier to just roll out the bag at night and roll it up in the am. Apparently it also came in very handy for them on recent trip to AZ where the temp dropped a lot at night. Living in FL, I find it hard to imagine "coldness" when I pack and am worried that I will be caught unawares.

I use a Travasak, which is like a sleeping bag, but with sheets inside that can be removed & laundered. It has a summer side and winter side comforter thickness. They are easy to make up. Unfortunately, they are no longer being made, but a similar bedding system, the Hacksack is:

Wow! I didn't know that they stopped making the Travasaks....interesting. Checked the website you recommended for similar product Liz...noted that their prices are still high (IMHO). I have a Travasak which for me with my rear side bed is the only way to go....however, after seeing how they are made I think it would be fairly easy to make one yourself for a lot less $$$$....especially after seeing some of the projects ladies on this website have put together...well...a Travasak replica for them would be a breeze..... :D

I think it depends entirely on what kind of RV and bed you have. If you have a walk around bed, you will probably want to make it up like you would at home. However, one of those beds tucked into a corner, a bed over the front of a motorhome, or a bed you make up every night would make something like a hacksack very nice. Washing the sheets would be simple. Using a sleeping bag all the time would be a pain to have it cleaned frequently.

we full time and have a 5er. We do have the walk around bed and do make it up. even though it's a walk around there is a space on one side that is hard to reach I've found out that while still in bed if I pull the bedding up taunt it's easier to straighten out... my mom laughed at me said never knew anyone that makes her bed before she gets out of it  just a trick I've found and that only recently...good luck with looking for your new home we looked for a long time and found what we wanted the most
