Guess we all have our favorite ways to get clean water. When we travelled a lot and had a big motorhome, we used one of those undersink, whole house water filters. At the spigot, first the pressure regulator, then a short piece of white hose, filter propped in a bucket or bracket, longer white hose to rig. Now, with the small "C" I use the same WalMart one the others are using. From the spigot, again the pressure regulator, then the in-line filter, and the white (potable) hose to the rig. I like to be sure my hose is free of deposits, too, hence the filter first. My thinking may be wrong, but I've done this for years, so something is working.

I also have a Brita pitcher in the refrigerator both at home and in the rig. I use bottled water in gallons for making coffee and for Spike. Since she has travelled in practically every state and water systems are so different around the country, I feel safer having her drink the bottled stuff. I don't want to upset her little digestive system. She's 18 years old now, so evidently that's working, too.

One thing I'm bad about, though, is changing the filters often enough. I read someplace that all the impurities build up in the filter and get to the point where you are actually getting a double or triple dose of chemicals or minerals as the overloaded filter leaches them out! It's hard to decide how often to change them in a rig because unless you are full-timing it isn't used as often as a home one is. I have to get better at that, tho.
