Saving the Whale at Playa Mantanchen, MX

Updated the blog with some pictures of the people here working to unbeach a whale - they did it.
Also of our last day in El Quelite with the folkloric dancing and fire dancing and of our trip up to Tepic on the road of curves!
Yesterday we revisited a little town with a beautiful two block long mural - will post about it later or tomorrow.
Hope you enjoy. I even ventured out into the water to see the whale - first time I've been in the ocean in ..... years.

Carol, those curvy roads remind me of the roads around here in southern California winding up into the local mountains. And no, they don't put up guard rails here either. I guess they don't want to give anyone a false sense of security! The one road I took out here looking for a remote waterfall, was only one lane wide so you had to drive really slow around the curves in case another car was coming from the other direction! Scary!

Was wondering...what ever happened to your bead/bees wax projects you picked up last year down there? Did you ever work on those? Are you going back to the place you bought them? Those were so cool!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I just read your last few posts - need time to go further back until I'm caught up. How wonderful that so many pitched in and got that whale back out to sea. And I loved your windy road - and the black looking street in Tepic. I was always amazed at how beautiful and colorful they made their displays of fruit. Yes, the picture you took of the lemons looked like it wasn't real. Amazing, that was real, but those trees in town weren't.

Love keeping up with you. LIke I said, I need to go back and get really caught up!

Such beauty around you, Carol! You capture the views so well in pictures and commentary. And what a neat experience to watch the whale rescue! Love your videos...feels like I'm right there with you. Keep 'em coming. Thanks for taking the time to share.
