Unique restaurant

Have any of you ever had a "kornbread" sandwich? We went riding with friends last weekend and the restaurant we stopped in was called the House of Pies. It's just a small family run place with homemade pies, (go figure), these sandwiches, 2 kinds of soup (one called 'hungry farmer's stewp'), and salads. My sandwich on jalepeno cornbread had corned beef, swiss cheeese tomato and onion....yum. Here's a picture of Tommy's with Chili and cheese on jalepeno cornbread. I thought it was pretty unique since I've never heard of them, but I am a yankee girl and maybe it's a 'southern thing'. They don't even offer 'regular' bread for sandwiches.

Oh yeah, and not too carb friendly either, but one couldn't just go there and not have one...now could one?

Oh, I have a feeling I'd be eating there way too often.

Just did read tho - whole grains are some of the most important calories we can eat - so lol - those sandwiches would fit several times a week, maybe?
