RIP Elizabeth Edwards

I know this is off-topic for the RV forum, but I just cried as I heard Elizabeth Edwards has died. She lost a teenage son, battled cancer and then unseated Hillary aside as the nation's most well-known "wronged woman." Through it all she was an example of courage and class. RIP Elizabeth.

Wow, I just read yesterday that she had maybe a couple of months left. I always felt that she had so much class and dignity and that her husband needed to be hung up by his cajones. Really sorry to hear of this. You would think with all of the advances in the treatment of breast cancer that we would have no more deaths from it. Fly on the wings of Angels, Elizabeth.

I was sad too when I heard Elizabeth had passed today. She was so strong and an inspiration for all. Prayers for family and friends, too.

Hmmm, cajones/cojones...new word for me, naive and innocent as I am. Looked it up....got it. Agree with you, Sharon.

Yep, a woman I truly admired. Just earlier today I was reading about this being the end of her struggles - but didn't expect to hear later today that it happened already. RIP to a beautiful, smart, strong, classy lady.

You said that well, Sharon :)

I echo what you've all said. I posted her notice on my FB page as well. She had a bad couple of years, but now there's no more cancer, pain or chemo/radiation. May she be remembered for her strength of character and courage.

Yes the news caught me off guard too. I feel so bad for her children to lose their mom. She definitely was a strong and courageous woman. She definitely lived with dignity. RIP Elizabeth. And may God comfort her family.

It occurred to me after I posted this that she has had a joyous reunion with her son Wade, who died at 16. The thought of that brings tears to my eyes as well.
