Thats a great sofa and it would be hard to beat the deal you got.
Are you furnishing the house so you can stay there part of the time or do you plan to rent it?

Tentative plan is to lease it by the week, or month, perhaps, to just family and friends. In the meantime, I am very comfy here for the winter, when I am not in my camper. This is a block/stucco house on a slab, about 5 mintues from Sea World, and about 10-15 minutes from Disney. It is perfect for those who might have kids, or for anyone who would like to visit any of the Orlando attractions. I hope to have it fully stocked with linens, kitchen utensils, and whatever one might have in a fancy hotel, so that people can just bring their clothes and have a great place to stay. There is a community pool, tennis courts, shuffleboard, game room, club house, jacouzzi, garbage pickup and lawn care here.

But who knows-----that is just a plan. Things can change in a heartbeat! I love the view from my Florida room (screened in porch) of the pond. Bike riding is a real treat down here with its being so flat for miles and miles! And, when I bring my canoe over here, I can access Shingle Creek for a great paddle on one of the old streams for many miles, as well as the pond here.

Happy travels!

That was a great deal!

Fits great in that corner, you didn't have an inch to spare.

But I think you should get a taller table for the laptop, bending over like that is bad for the back after a while( I know it is for me).

I love it too...earthtones and red (not together, but maybe) my favorites. I have noticed when spending time in Gulfshores that there are some wonderful deals on furniture and have wondered why. I am never going to go pay full price again. There are too many great bargains if we're just patient 8-) :D I was a garage sale marathoner at one time and found that when a pending move is the reason you can almost get it given to you at times  They don't want to move it. You did good :!:

Not sure what other kinds of things you may need for the house but you might want to check out some local foreclosure and estate sales in the area in addition to the auction houses. Here are links to 2 that post some photos of what being offered (there are dozens more in your area)

Garage sale can also be a good source for "stuff". I'm not familiar with the FL market but around here most kitchen items (pots/pans, cookware, small appliances, dishes, etc) are usually very cheap.

Soos, something to think about re your plans for renting the house. Do you live in a HOA (Home Owners Association) community? If so, you will have to check with them about your idea. Many do not allow it. My parents place in Ft. Lauderdale area required you to check with the HOA for just about everything. From having immediate family staying there when owners were away, to hanging wreaths on the door. Their association was very strict, which wasn't out of the ordinary for that area of Florida. They also had busy buddies who would tattle on everybody and what they were not allowed to do. It was like going back to the 2nd grade. :D Their community was also 55+, and a gated community, which would make a big difference as well. Something to check into. Linda

Wow. What a great deal and it looks nice all snugged into your LR. I love the color, too. And the hide-a-bed? What a great perk.

Hmmm ... I got a sectional like with my condo ... I'm gonna look and see if it has a hide-a-bed in it too. Wouldn't that be a scream?

Guess I missed something somewhere along the way :? I thought you were staying in your TT all winter. So, you bought a place?

I am guessing here...she has owned this place for awhile and I think maybe her son has been living there until he bought his house where she is parking her TT. Now she is fixing it up to possibly rent it out? Soos, correct me if I am wrong
