I am Thankful for......

Postby Echo » Wed Nov 24, 2010 2:07 pm

As long as it is Thanksgiving tomorrow I thought I would list and share just a few things I am so very Thankful for.

My life
'me', who I am
both my kids
my Grandson
my daughter for also being my friend
my Shade puppy as she brings me much joy, love and laughter
the fact that we now have a truck and travel trailer that we can live in
a job I like that I can go back to in May
my close to my heart, forever friends

I could go on but those are some of the high lights.

And last but very far from least, I am Thankful for this forum and all the wonderful women I have come to know.

That's really nice Echo. You've had many trials and much you could be complaining about, yet you are expressing thanks. May God continue to bless your life.

I'm thankful for:

Having a roof over my head, food in my frig and my bills paid, when so many don't.
Sassy and Tessa, my "furkids"
My friends and acquaintences who brighten my life
My cousin who has me over for Thanksgiving and Christmas with her family
My co-workers at the park in summer, who make my days fun
My grea tand caring boss
A job I love that I know I can go back to in spring
And all the great people on this website, who listen to my chatter, whether it's interesting or not. For all your help and advice this past year. Thanks for "being there".

I'm thankful for ....
My little apartment
My sweet, dependable little car
My wonderful fur kids
My human family
My job (even though I hate the thought of going there some days, I'm very thankful that I have a job)
My "virtual" friends here
My health
As corny as it may sound, I'm thankful I live in America, where we're free.
I'm very thankful for the men & women that are willing to risk their lives to keep us safe - those in the military, policemen & women and firefighters.
I'm thankful to be alive !
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

Echo, I was just thinkin' - do you have or can you lay your hands on a dutch oven? That'd be good to cook your bird in...

Nope, don't have a dutch oven and sure can't go buy one. I did pick up a small 10lb turkey yesterday but it was frozen. I think once it thaws it will fit OK in my big crockpot. I looked online and found some tips on doing the turkey in the crockpot so I am really looking forward to it. I want to do it in the crockpot so as to not use up my propane. ;)

I am thankful for...

...emotional healing and the medications that keep my depression at bay
...for a loving husband of almost 35 years
...for healthy children and grandchildren
...for a dry, warm place to lay my head
...for a job right now
...for good friends & family who love and care about us
...for my cyberspace friends who are too many to count
...for a loving aunt, who loves me like a mom should
...for food to eat
...for the love of my Lord Jesus Christ
