I've been planning a tentative route to Coffeyville, Kansas today. Used a few guidelines:
1) An average of 250 miles a day
2) As many free overnight parking spots as possible, using several resources
3) Color in more states visited on the map
4) Enough spare time to check things out and explore a little
Since I've never driven east of Santa Fe, NM, I'd really love some feedback from those of you who know that part of the country well. I might stay in Santa Fe two nights, we'll see.
