Welcome to Seaside Oregon!
I have been coming to this area since I was a little kid, the beach is great and shops galore and great food. This is also where Lewis & Clark came.

I'm pretty sure Seaside is the town my X and I stayed at in a beachfront second story room. The round bed had windows surrounding it so it felt like you were outside when lying on it. On the outside of the building, just above the room, was a huge clock you could read from the beach.

Huge clock seen from the beach? I looked towards all the rooms yesterday and I would have noticed that. Are you sure it was not Lincoln City?

I don't remember that clock in Lincoln City or Seaside, but I love both those towns - especially this time of year.

Great pics, Jenny.

Jenny, beautiful pictures of Seaside, one of my very favorite Oregon cities. Went to a sand castle building contest once and was hooked. Where to next?

We'll be in South Beach Mon 22nd just South of Newport and will meet up with Trudy soon. We've heading South and Trudy is heading North

Here is a photo of the Astoria Bridge that takes you from Wa (lower left side) to the higher Oregon side. It is higher so ships can go underneth. My friend Nick Russell " Gypsy Journal" hates crossing this bridge, it scares him!

It could have been in Lincoln City, but I'm pretty sure we stayed at a hotel near the casino there. I know I didn't dream it up. I'll try googling it.
I love driving over high bridges! I just wish they could somehow build in places to pull over so you could take some time to soak in the vast scenery.

Nope,...that bridge isn't for me, either! I got chills just thinking about it.

Awww, you can drive across that bridge. And it doesn't move. This is the one that freaked me out: http://www.capbridge.com/

A couple years ago we were staying in Blaine WA and drove across the Canandian border and took their sky train and the Sea bus and then a reg bus to get up o the capilano bridge. It was AWESOME!! Not for people afraid of heights tho. You have to walk slowly across the bridge. There is a person at the end of it with a loud speaker yelling at you if you try to swing the bridge or run across it!!! There are some more bridges that connect between the trees, that too was fun! I'll try to find my photos.

Oh, there are plenty of places to stop and park on either side of the bridge Jenny pictured. Later I'll see if I can find any of my pictures. You can see that whole body of water from my g/f's deck off the back of her house - and I've driven that bridge several times in my rv. Not at all one that makes me nervous. And there are some that have made me nervous. But we all have problems with different things.
