Another good reason to own an RV!

Talk about anything under the sun! Just remember to be respectful of others.

One year when my son was in grade school they had a terrible problem with lice. They had someone come from the Health Department to give a talk and I thought I was going to have to sit on my hands to keep from scratching my head. The more he talked the worse it got.

I have never run into any bed bugs but when I think about having to stay at a motel alone I think about the stories of people being mugged. My DH and I had someone go in our room one time while we were at the restaurant. They took his electric razor and pocket knife. Made me very paranoid about staying in hotels. I always check the windows and I have found them unlocked several times.

Just came to me that when looking at a used RV to buy we should check for them there also! :o

Absolutely, regarding the used RV. I was thinking as I read this thread that the first thing I would do is get one inspected for bedbugs, and then even if it passed I would get new mattresses and any carpeting for rugs!! Makes me even worry about renting one next summer to try it out.

For hotel travel, one excellent source of information on a hotel is Tripadvisor.com. If there is a security or vermin problem with a hotel, it will get posted there.

Buy from a really old couple,, they are probably not ones to carry bedbugs... also... I'm betting that the cleanliness of the rig is a BIG hint as to how clean the ppl are!

Just sayin..............................
