Catching up slowly. Here's our trip to the east side of Mt. St. Helens....Windy Ridge.

Thanks for the tour, Liz. That is one of the few gigantic natural occurrences that happened in our lifetime and even tho I remember all the pics and story on the news, I bet it was neat to see it for yourself.

I have a beautiful backyard, huh? Lots to keep me busy in this neck of the woods. I haven't been up the backside of the volcano yet.
Beautiful pictures and great narrative, as always, Liz!

Beautiful, Liz. If one can ask....have you decided what your dreams for next summer might be... :) I see a small traveling band of sisters in my future

Fantastic pictures. We were there in the 80's and about the only place we could go was the walk up to the crater. This just tells me that I need to get back that way. Maybe next year. Love traveling with you. (whooops, just saw Out and About's post. So I'll just add "too" 0) :D carold

I was thinking of seeing which way the wind blows next summer....a leisurely tour, staying east of the Mississippi. I like Carold's tour of the Maritimes....maybe? New England every summer. Sure, a traveling band...what's in your dreams?

Another wonderful chapter of the tour, Liz! When I was last there, it was still all forested! It's really neat to see what it looks like now. I especially love to see the remains of the charred tree decomposition---those weird looking holes! I would have passed up the trip from one hole to another, too!

Happy travels!
