I knew it isn't really used while backing up - just trying to figure out why this man thought it was so essential. Been doing fine without one but want to start towing And trying to figure all the costs involved. Hadn't planned on camera and now wondering if it's really worth extra $. Have to say, you all weren't much help in that regard. lol Okay, back to the mantra - worry about one thing at a time.

If I towed anything I would get a camera. I have a back window that I can't see much out of and I put one of those stick on plastic lenses and it doesn't help much. Some friends forgot to leave the key in their Jeep the first time they towed it and the wheels locked and they were dragging it. Someone finally got them to stop. It ruined one tire and it would have probably caught on fire eventually. I would want to see what was going on back there.
