Wood ducks sit in trees too. Do you really not know what that big thing was in the river?? It looked like it had fins sticking up on it! Creepy! Otherwise I would have thought it was a manatee. I don't care for the gators either :o Otherwise great photos! You sure don't miss a thing!

Interestingly, in the newspaper today it was reported with a photo that a manatee had been seen in the Silver River yesterday. That's very rare, because it is almost impossible for a manatee to make the journey from the St. Johns River since locks were installed on the Ocklawaha River leading to the Silver River. It must have somehow passed through the locks. However, as you said, the thing we saw was not a manatee....my guess it was a large fish.

Good for you Liz, able to go out and do what you do best....keeping us entertained with your bootiful pictures!

Probably a shark! They got everything else living in there! That looked awfully large for just an average fish!

(I am a wimp when it comes to being in (or on) the water :roll: Even sunfish scare me!)
