Use of Forum Quote Feature

When using the forum quote feature, it is not acceptable to alter the text being quoted. Yes, it's all right to only quote one sentence, not the entire post, but again, not to alter the text. Using that feature means that what is said inside of it was said by the person being quoted. It confusing to others when changed even if the change is only being done in fun.

Now, when someone wants to have fun - it can be done. It's so easy to say something like - I think you meant to say - with the change. But again, the quote feature means the words are as they were originally said.
