Update - it's been awhile

Hi all. I haven't been around for a while, but Peggy in CT sent me a pm and we're meeting up in western mass on 6/4. So I decided I'd better get back here and jump back in.

Right now, I'm in Vernona NY, camping with the class B rally sponsored by RV.NET. I went to my first one last year, it was in Ohio, and had a
great time. In preparing for the trip, I took an extra two days off work for travel time. I never bothered to check the actual driving directions until yesterday morning when I was ready to take off. I discovered I allowed two days travel to cover 5 hours!!! LOL!! So I got here yesterday evening, well in advance of the start of the rally.

That's ok, though because it's part of the Turning Stone casino complex, so I went last night and played poker. Had a good time and actually won some money, but I gotta tell ya, I wish more women would play. It's uncomfortable being in the room with only two other women.

So I'm relaxing at my site right now, enjoying this lovely breeze and gorgeous weather.

So good to hear from you Leslie. Like the others who were hijacking that other thread - I almost posted also, but decided to wait and see if you noticed. And you did. Glad to hear things are good with you and you're still out there camping. Enjoy this gtg - and look to see if there's any place worth visiting on the way back. I love taking my time and doing really leisurely routes. I've had days I only made it 30+ miles because I saw something worth visiting or another place worth staying.

Enjoy and visit here more often, please.

Glad you chipped right in, Leslie. Seems like quite a few of the ladies here like those casinos Those short, leisurely drives are sometimes the best-and you're so relaxed when you get wherever. I'll assume you did that on purpose We're in upstate NY also-Watkins Glen-til Sunday and then on to Wellsley State Park in the Thousand Islands. Hopefully the weather is as good for you as it is for us-in the 80's today. Have fun and enjoy the gtg's. carold

You two ladies in NY are getting closer and closer to me here in the Adirondacks! If either of you will be around for Memorial Day weekend, here is where I plan to be, and would so LOVE to meet up with you! Perhaps Cedar, too, can meet with us?

I have reservations at AuSable Point campground. IF we go. We really want to spend time at home too! if a mini-GTG is in the offing, DO let me know,... I'll get there for a day at least.
