Got a lead on a motorhome

Postby Colliemom » Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:03 pm

Althought I am not sure yet which way I am going to go with this TT vs. MH business, I just got a lead on a motorhome through a dealer that I am in touch with. It's a 2000 Jamboree Rallye 23B. Supposed to have low mileage and in showroom condition. Price will be in low $20's. The curstomer is planning ro either sell or trade in. No pics availabe though. At least at the moment. She said it has a rear kitchen and sleeping is over the seats up front. But I would think that it should have a dinette that makes a bed as well. I am a bit past that climbing up over the seats stuff. But the dealer is about 200 miles from here and would require an overnight. Trying to find a place I can go with my dogs in that area is a bit hard. I do stay at a resort about 15 miles from there but they require a 3 night stay. I don't have much time to run up there as I am getting ready to go back to work next week and also have a few appts. in the mix. That would make it 10 years old, but it's tempting. Hmmmmmm.

Sue, I found a couple of MH's like that by doing a search.

It's already sold, but just for info purposes, it sold for $29,9000. http://www.rvclearinghouse.com/index/li ... ge4942.htm

Here's one that sold for $21,936. http://www.mycarbox.com/2007_Suzuki_XL-7_24224.html

Hey thanks. I'm going to see if I can email that to the sales consultant. If the one she's talking about is as equipped as much as that one was, I might just go for it. May have to do one of those sight unseen things.

Sounds like a good deal. And a good size. I like the little ones (have lived in a 22' for almost 5 years now). Some of them have ladders to the upper bunk, but if you can make the couch or dinette into a comfortable bed and don't mind doing that - the upper bunk makes a great area for storage. Just don't put real heavy stuff up there.

Good luck with whatever you decide. But if you decide to go for it - make sure you can back out when you get there if something isn't as told - actually, for any reason. They should be willing to put a hold for a certain period of time for you to get there and make the decision.
