Or maybe not.

..

Everyone has the option of reading or not reading something. No one is being forced. If I choose to post something a little thought-provoking, you and everyone else certainly have the right not to read it, just as I have the right to choose either to read and comment upon things that anyone else posts or ignore them. It's called free speech, at least the last time I checked.

Seems like others here don't agree with that, do they?

A long time ago my dad..quite a wise man...told me that two things that were best not discussed among friends, who wanted to stay friends...were religion and politics. My suggestion is that this thread is dropped and forgotten about.

It wasn't my blog - and it wasn't promoting anything.

So, it seems that as Rvers, we are not to think about anything other than our rigs or our pets. I don't have a pet and I don't make comments about those of you who write about yours. Therefore, it';s been nice, ladies. However, I refuse to stick my head in the sand any longer.

Moi?

The quote credited to me above is NOT mine. I puposefully refrained from posting to the thread to NOT stir the pot. ... that is until others voiced their discomfort then I added my comments.

I was NOT saying this forum WAS a bible study group..... I was saying that it was NOT a bible study group.

Also, you will not find me talking about religious groups except in the context of this discussion and also a PM a few days ago when I objected to someone linking kindness to "christian" ... I then pointed out that kindness is world wide, not limited to those that consider themselves "christian".

As several people have stated,... and as is widely known,... both politics and religion are personal views, usually strongly felt. In a group of this sort they have no place. They are considered "hot buttons".... and usually do incite disagreements of this type. Grandchildren, beaches and cats don't fall in that category. :D

In my humble opinion.....let it go! This thread IS NOT worth the discord it is causing. Take what you like from the forum and leave the rest. Stuff that's not appropriate will filter out naturally. Tell us about the fun adventures you had today!! That's what I want to read about!!!! :)

Chris has posted on this forum since it was started. I think she was treated badly. I hope she changes her mind and will post again.

Ok my turn.

Ladies please. This is one of those times we will all have to agree to differing opinions. And back off before there is a "war" of words. Feelings get hurt, people get upset and bad things happen. I for one do not want to see that happen here between so many women who have been good online friends. Women who have been nothing but supportive and helpful to and for each other.

So please say no more before something is said that can't be taken back or mended. PLEASE I am begging you to stop now and argue no more!!!!! Fighting and arguing amongst ourselves causing any hard feeling between ourselves will solve nothing.

Please I ask again no more......
