I like the one towards K-Mart the best, especially since there's a Starbucks across the street. Might be a little easier than facing the crowds this time of year in Q.

Kool beans, thanks! Mmm, Starbucks, haven't been there in forever! Have you done any shopping at the K-Mart? I may have to pick up some tank tops as all my shirts are regular sleeves and dark colored or black. And it's closer than Wal*Mart. Thanks again!

Because K-Mart is probably the only store in town here, their prices are kind of high. Haven't bought any clothing there, so don't know what their prices/quality/selection is like. But yes, the store is a lot closer than Wal-Mart in Parker. There's also a Starbucks in Albertsons. BTW, Albertsons is very expensive and crowded and we've found that the Ranch Market, a smaller Mexican-focused store in the K-Mart shopping center is a little cheaper. Not as large a selection as A's, but friendly people and excellent produce. Plus they have a decent meat counter.

I just got a phone call from a friend in Tucson, wanting to make sure we were okay here as she'd also seen the tornado report. That I hadn't heard, but it makes a lot of sense. The heavy rain was blowing straight sideways and this little RV was rocking back and forth. Found out I have a leak in the front of the rig, by the windshield directly over the steering wheel - didn't know that. With it raining so hard, was nice of it to let me know. LOL! Electricity went off here and in town a number of hours ago - not sure when we'll get it back. So now everyone's using their generators, The boondocking experience in Baja gave me lots of experience in this, though. Although I just tried to flush the toilet and have no water. Need to check that.

Anyway, I checked with Echo and Kelly and they're okay. They were in town when the thing hit - just got out of K-Mart before all the electricity went off. Gee, are we having fun yet?

Thanks, Chris----good to know you all survived the horrendous weather out your way. I will NOT complain about the cold here this morning, as it's very calm ouside, bright starry sky, and all-in-all, very pretty.

Please keep your eyes to the skies out there, and stay in touch as much as you are able. FL had some very bad weather last night, also.....am hoping my son made out ok in the Orlando area.

We played it safe and did not go to Quartzsite this year, we have had non stop company and students so could not leave till the 18th anyway . When we heard there was going to be a storm we decided to stay put in Yuma. Our yard flooded a bit and I had my laundry bucket outside to catch the roof runoff and it filled 3 times full making it at least 30 gallons of water off the roof! New Pergola wobbled but stayed put in the back yard so we know it withstood high winds. We still want to bolt it to the 4 x4's we buried in the ground under the legs. Hope this is the last of the storms!! We have been very busy with the RV Driving School January and we are booked almost solid for Feb so we are very busy and can't take company in because our students stay with us.
Yesterday we brought in the slides on the motorhome, grabbed the cats and hunkered down in the casita. Scary but not as scary as Blythe & Quartzsite!!!
