On our Way

Carole and I left Kerrville Sunday morning but since we got a late start we ended up pulling into a newish RV park in Fairfield TX. They had no pull thrus but since we pulled in after dark and they were pretty empty I parked sideways and took up 3 sites so we could have electric. Next morning when we paid we found it was $35.00 !!!!!! Next night we stayed in Natchez at a mall because I missed the exit to the RV park cause it was dark. Had the entire mall to ourselves - actually was better than the previous nights RV park. Last night we finally found the RV park I wanted (my Garmin didn't know about the new construction for the exit area and kept taking us around the block until I figured out we weren't getting anywhere). This morning it was 19 degrees outside and when its that cold I always can't make up my mind whether to leave early when the roads might be icy. I didn't take into account that it gets dark earlier as you go east and I HATE driving in the dark especially when I don't know where I am. The last day will be rather long and if the weather/roads aren't really good we may spend one more night on the road and arrive Friday earlyish.

So glad to hear from you. You've had quite a trip to make. I've done that one so many times, and have been wondering how you were doing. Glad you have Carole with you, be nice to see her again. I'm so glad you're coming, be sooo nice to see you too. Are you coming on 84, through Ga. area? I did(coming from west Tn, first of Dec.)that to 19 and then down east of Tallahassee, that place was terrible years ago, so I always avoid it, if possible.

Take care, hope you have a good trip, Hope you have warm clothes with you, its not getting warmer down here. I lived here for over 50 years and never remember it being this cold or lasting this long. Its sure to warm up after I leave

See you soon, so glad you checked in
