Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year Just wanted to share a couple of photos with you. This was sunset Christmas Eve from the restaurant in the RV Park - We ate dinner there last night.

And this was an unexpected sight as we drove down the beach yesterday. It is her 15th birthday and her family was taking pictures of her on the beach. Beautiful girl - even her fingernails were painted blue and pink

Beautiful sunset and beautiful young girl. I believe it's a tradition in Mexican families. My step-granddaughter is Mexican and I have seen pics of her at her 15th b'day celebration. Very much like that but a bit more elegant. My step-son had married a great gal from Mexico that had two children from previous marriage. Sorry to say that we have lost touch since her grandfather left and became my X. Seems like that whole family left me!

Beautiful sunset! Oh goodness Kelly and I will have to get off our duffs and get our passports so that we can go down there and live for the winter. Warmth, oceans, beaches and good on the pocket!!! ;)

That girl is a knockout!! WOW is she beautiful!!!! 8-)

Beautiful pictures and beautiful young lady. They must have so much fun dressing up like a princess at that age.

There are many of us who would LOVE to travel to Mexico but ONLY if we had a good, knowledgable, Spanish speaking, wagonmaster. Sound like anyone you know? Come on Bill, tell us you'll lead a bunch of women to Mexico. I'll get you an RVing Women Sultan T-shirt.

Yes it is a tradition that the girls get all dressed up for their 15th birthday. Dan and I saw a whole group of them in Mexico when we went to Tlaquepaque, they were so beautiful and I just love going by the dress shops where they have all the dresses.

I so want to do a Mexico trip! Right now the money is a problem - but I do have the advantage of being a pretty fluent Spanish speaker! I guess in my 'perfect' world I would help lead a group - I'd do language help and would do a lot of research on the where and what stuff, in exchange for having some of my expenses covered. I know that's asking a lot, but if I don't put it out there, I'll certainly never get it to happen!
I lived in Mexico as a teen - have a degree in Spanish - had a Mexican biz partner for 11 years and have towed a trailer through the country - albeit close to 40 years ago. My parents put almost 100,000 Mexican miles on their rig.

So Karen - I am with you woman! I want to be co-sultan! LOL

The pictures are wonderful and I love the quinceanera celebrations - kind of like a bar mitzvah for girls when they 'come of age'.
