I have a bath-tub, the problem is the small water heaters. The most water I can get is about 4 inches deep. Everybody has there priorities. Mine was an island bed and nightstands. I only got one nightstand, but that's okay. The most fun is looking, planning, dreaming.

My priorities have shifted now. Mine are focused on the dogs. My l5 yr old requires me to lift her into and out of the camper. I bought both steps and a ramp, but she will not use either, so I pick her up. She is 70 lbs and it isn't easy, especially having to do it multiple times a day. I'm looking at small MH and vans. Some of the small trailers might work, but I'm not sure I really want to tow something. (I'm such a chicken ) It is fun looking and trying to picture living in them. So many possibilities.

I DO know one thing for sure,, I will NOT tow anything.. I think i might've stated that before. I don't want 2 expenses,,, the rv AND the truck... so.... much as I love pu's and SUV's.... yeah I know, I might even change my mind on that, but i've had both and so, a little experience w/ both so, I'm pretty stuck on the MH idea.

My shower has a "little" tub. I use it to do handwashables - and in the summer it means I have very little laundry. But that's cuz in summer when it's warm, I wear mainly sundresses. I would hate to lose the little tub - but if a rig had everything else I wanted, would have to figure another way to do my handwashables.

I've gotten used to my corner bed, but would love to have a little shelf/nightstand - and if I went with a bigger model with a real bedroom, that would be a must. If I stayed small like I am now next time - it would not be.

Make sure you figure out YOUR musts - and your would like to's, etc - If something is a must, not having it would be a dealbreaker - and that's ok - if it's a "would like to have" - losing a few of those might be ok if made up another way. I remember once saying I would NEVER own a silver car. My next car was silver. Everything else was what I wanted, and it did not have a burgundy interior with the exterior silver - THAT would have been a deal breaker for me lol

I sure do appreciate all of you gals' suggestions! Sure does help me get my head straight. I'm hoping I can make it down to where karen is and see her and sharon and whoever else might be there. I'm gonna try real hard!! Hoping there are no dr appts in the way!

Too bad there aren't RV shows around you or an RV place to look at a variety of rigs-it's so much fun and does open your mind to different ideas you might not have thought of. We had a bathtub/shower in our last MH and I, like Beth, did hand laundry in it. But I got tired of getting down on my knees and bending over, so now-since I don't have one, I just do it in my kitchen sink. It doesn't hold as much, but my knees and back don't care. Enjoy the dreaming and looking, who knows what might happen, and the dream could become reality even sooner than you think. carold

When we sailed a lot, we'd put some of our laundry in a covered bucket filed with water and a bit of eco-friendly soap and stash it in the sink. Laundry did itself while we were under sail. Probably would work while 'under sail' on the road?? (while we did have a HUGE bathtub, it was filled with saltwater...)

Another way to see different types of MH is to try attending some rallys....some actually have an open house but all have at least some individuals that are more than willing to let you see what there unit looks like, especially if they know that you are looking and trying to figure things out......sort of like use as we all peek inside each others units at the GTGs I know that Nick Russell has another one out west in the late winter early spring...... The rallies alsso have the seminars that give a lot of practical information about batteries, towing, etc....some of it boring but stuff that is helpful and makes you think about how you might use your own unit....
