I have metal blinds on one side of my MH but for whatever reason they aren't noisey. I think the one behind the sofa has a close fitting valance down each side with leaves very little sway room. The smaller one in the kitchen is fastened at the bottom and so far makes very little noise. We'll see if any of that changes the more I travel. ;)

Mine in my kitchen isn't noisy, either - but like you said, it's really anchored down - makes it a pain to clean. That's the only place I'd have one though - and would rather have some type of blind that when up I can really see OUT that window.

We have mini blinds vinyl in Jennie and the Alfa - when we travel I just pull them to the top - stops any noise - BUT we also have all the windows tinted so that cuts down on glare and provides privacy. I have put curtains up in the Alfa on tension rods over the mini blinds - adds to "homey" look.

I have metal mini's in my Casita and I really don't like them. Much too easy to bend and as said, very hard to clean.

I did have a reflective tint put on my rig, so the day time I can see out and no one can see in. I love that. At night however, if there is a light on, you can see in, I don't like that. However, the material also is a great help in summer time heat out and cool in as well as winter time cool out and heat in. The other neat thing is that it does serve as a night light block - I sometimes have difficulty getting to sleep when light is shining in thru the windows. (You know how it is, if there is one light out there it will be positioned for the one person who has night light aversion  ). This has made a great deal of difference in my rig. I had thought about the day/night shades but with the reflective I no longer need that plus they would have been quite expensive. I saw Karen's (retiredhappy) celluar and really like the bedroom one which is one of the bottom up or top down. That is really worth considering - and the colors - choose what you want/like/need.

I think it is fun to see and hear what other folks have done to their rig. You get ideas that never occurred to you before :!:

For those of you with the tinted windows, did you use the film you can apply yourself? or get it done professionally? I'm guessing that would be pretty pricey?
