Chihuly Exhibit in Columbus, OH

We are at our first stop on our journey in Columbus, OH. Warm and sunny today. The DataStorm is working fine. Getting our Direct TV and Internet without problems. Any way - The Franklin Park Conservatory is having a Chihuly Exhibit. WOW!! I didn't realize until today that he was the one who designed the wonderful lobby ceiling in the Belliago Hotel in Vegas. We walked around enjoying everything. Glass and plants. Photobucket was being snitty today so I put photos in albums. They can be opened by right clicking and telling it to open in new window. Before going there we toured an exact replica of Columbus Santa Maria more on that later when I get it together.
After we visited the German Town area - neat cobblestone streets and brick houses. Had lunch there at a Spanish ? restuarant sitting on the patio. Delicious.

those are so awesome, when his exhibit was here, back in January and my sister and
I went, all the glass was made to look like our cactus type vegetation. How interesting
to see the ones made to look like other area vegetation. Thanks for sharing those.

very pretty very talented I've not heard of him either but he did a could job!! and I love going through gardens and conseratorys...love seeing the different plants

I have to admit I didn't know who he was either but I remembered the pictures Ava posted when she saw his stuff in AZ. So when I saw the blurb in the paper I wanted to go. It was while at the exhibit I discovered he was the guy who did the Belliago ceiling in Vegas - I have always loved it.
