Santa Maria

Also went to tour the replica of the Santa Maria in Columbus. I didn't even know there was a river in Columbus - shame on me. It is the Scioto River.
Very interesting tour. The ship was built then cut in two and trucked to Columbus where it was put back together. It us an exact replica - plans came from Spain. Columbus, OH is the largest city carrying Columbus name. The Santa Maria ran aground on Isla Espanola (now Haiti) and her timbers were used to build a fort. I added some pictures at http://www.movingon1.com/SantaMaria
Hope you enjoy them
