Karen (retired happy)

It's with a heavy heart that I'm here to let everyone know that Karen's health problems overtook her yesterday. She will be missed. All the dogs she has saved that left before her will, I'm sure, have been greeting her with joy where none of them are in any pain any more. I have wonderful memories of times we spent together.

Such sad news. She is having a wonderful reunion with Sophie and all the rest of the peuppers.

I was hoping to see her again last Fall but she wasn't up to it. Yes, she will be missed.

Oh. . . just oh. I never met Karen, but always enjoyed her posts over these long years - to the extent that I really felt that I knew her. I am extremely saddened by this, and I find myself - surprisingly - in tears.

I pray that her passing was peaceful, and that she is now blessed by God's grace.

Good bye, Karen. You will be missed.

So, so sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. I enjoyed her posts so much. May she be at peace now in God’s grace with all the animals she saved and cared for.

OMG! I sure wasn't expecting to hear this! She just got into the assisted living place. I am so sorry to hear this. I never met her either but felt like I knew her. She was a true hero rescuing dogs! She will surely be missed!

Any idea what happened? I just saw her posting on FB in the last week. She was complaining about the food at her new place not being diabetic friendly.

I read about it earlier ... such sad news truly didn't realize that her condition was this bad... and she did vent about the lack of good food...
prayers for her family

So, so sorry. I didn't realize she was so sick either. Really great lady.

So sorry to hear this.
I'm sure she was greeting warmly by all the pups she's saved & who have gone before her.
May she rest in God's loving care.

I always enjoyed Karen's posts and pictures on the forum and Facebook. I also remember how she cared for Sharon Souter when she was ill. All the dogs she rescued and loved. She was a very special person.
