For me it would be a fresh, hot loaf of crusty French or Italian - just rip off pieces and eat - no butter necessary. My ex and I would stop at the bakery and get 2 loaves on the way to my inlaws - as we'd eat 1/2 of one before we got there. Then they'd finish it off in the same fashion.
Now, after it's not hot anymore - give me olive oil with seasonings - dip the bread in that - yummy.
