We extended our stay here in Verde Valley. About time we use some of our yearly fee. And this is really a pretty place. And with 70 sites empty because of no electricity it is really peaceful. Spent yesterday just around here again. Weather was still overcast. But we had an interesting time. Today the sun is out but the first soccer game of the season is on this morning and the NASCAR race is this afternoon.
Posted some more pictures and commentary from the area on the blog.

Are you planning to visit Prescott? That is one area I am considering moving to. Would love to see some pics of the town and area there if you go there.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

I was in Prescott in March. Great place to kayak.

I have been to that area a couple of times, but was visiting a cousin so did not spend any time in the town. But I do know that Prescott is fairly high, so it does have a little snow in the winter, but it also is not horribly hot in the summer. Check the weather to see how it is all year around.

Personally, I like that area much better than Phoenix because it is a smaller town and does not have the horrible heat.

About 10 years ago I looked at Prescott Valley (not Prescott) when it was a fairly new area. Was told that they have 4 seasons but the winters were not extreme. Nice area.
