We headed west to Banff National Park on Wednesday. It is magnificent and was definitely on my bucket list.

Glad it cleared up for you. You got some beautiful pictures. Did you take the lift to the top of the mountain at Banff?

Glad you had a good day in Banff. The mountains are so majestic.

If you have time a really great drive is south on highway 22 to Longview, west on 546 which becomes highway 40 at McLean Creek then continue on 40 over Highwood Pass back to Highway 1. It's a long day loop from Strathmore. IMHO it rivals the Icefields Parkway (highway 93) from Lake Louise to Jasper. It's Alberta's hidden gem, more rustic and less travelled than 93.

PS. There is no tunnel on Tunnel Mountain

I guess that explains why we never saw a tunnel Brenda. I wish I would have had a chance to take the drive you describe. I didn't get up to Jasper either. Another trip will be required. :D
