Mockingbird

Postby retiredhappy » Wed Feb 25, 2009 9:57 am

A Mockingbird for some reason (maybe the bird seed I put out) has decided to serenade me every morning. The only problem is that my idea of morning is not 5am. Good golly, its not even light yet at 5am. Was going to take a picture but when I got up he was gone, probably to take a nap.

He probably figures his job in your neighborhood is done for the day!!!!

He'll more than likely grab a nap later after he's gotten everyone up. Union rules ya know!!! :D

That's why Bandit always wakes me up to go out on the pool deck before the crack of dawn. It's when the birds start to chirp.

Surely it's a better way to be woken up than by a Rooster. :D

We are finally getting so we can sleep through the roosters crowing - but the church bells this a.m. were another story. Every 15 minutes from 5 to 7:30 I think people went to church just to stop the bells.

HAHA, Carol! Good theory!

I love getting wakened by birds in the spring and summer in the leanto on my pond, but then I don't have to get up for school, so can just lie there and enjoy them all!

Happy travels!
