Getting caught up. This is another lesser known part of Zion. Janice joined us for this scenic drive...in fact she drove us in her new Honda CRV.

I met Janice (and Sheila) when Linda and I drove thru SLC on our way to California. Both wonderful ladies!

I did not expect to see so many trees in Zion! I thought it would mostly be just rock and sand. Love to see all the greenery. Altho it looks like they haven't had a lot of rain as the reservoirs look pretty low.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

it's spring and spring is green in most of the state...that area is so pretty lots of variation
really good picture of the tanager...
the area I was telling you that I couldn't remember is down around Blanding and Bluff
Brigham Young sent a group of pioneers down to settle that area..there story of
moving down and the trail they forge is really interesting think that it's refer
to as the hole in the wall. They had to lower there wagons down cliffs or something of that nature
heard the story but its firmly hiding so don't want to give what I can not remember
Enjoy that park it is so pretty
