On the go internet

What do you do for the internet?

I can hook my phone to the computer and use Verizon (expensive) or just use my phone.

When I drove truck, I had a yearly internet subscription with Flying J. That was also pretty expensive.

I did a search for the subject and couldn't find the topic.

I use my verizon phone to hot spot it to my computer. I just increased my gigs to 4 and most of the time I'm good with that. Only a couple
times did I have to watch my usage in the last two days of the billing cycle. I can check the forum and facebook on the cellphone as
well as google stuff. When I want to really type stuff, (like now) then I use the computer. I really don't like typing on the little keyboard
of the cellphone but for a quick message, its ok. I used to have separate internet with an aircard, stick, whatever ya wanna call it and the cell phone, two seperate bills. Thats when I went with the smart phone, now one bill and it saved me $50 by doing
it. When I increased my gigabytes to suit my needs, I still ended up saving $30 by the time I did two increases at $10 a pop. This is what
works for me.

Even at home I use a hotspot on my AT&T smartphone. I like the convenience of it - if I have phone signal then I can get on the internet. I'm on my son=in-law's plan and we have 10 gigs to share. I'm with Ava, don't like typing much on the phone - fat fingers syndrome. We used to be with Sprint which I have to say had better signal when traveling than AT&T. If I take a long trip I may buy a Tracfone just to have a standby since they mostly use Verizon towers. Altho I love the backroads I do worry about breaking down and not having any signal. We are spoiled - remember the days when we had to use payphones when we needed to make a call.

We have mifi through Verizon and it works great. We use it at the house or any campground we go to.

Both our phones (Droid Razor Max) have built in WIFI hot spots and 4G is as fast as most DSL connections so it works pretty good. I also have a mini HDMI cable so I can connect my phone to my TV in the camper and stream Netflix's to my TV. We have 10 GB a month shared data plan and there's an app on my phone that shows our usage. Verizon's Share plan. 2 phones around $180 a month.

If I can find a tower I have internet. If I have a 4G connection I have better than most CG's WIFI and as fast as most peoples home WIFI connection.

I use verizon aircard unless the campgrounds is good which it is here and if used my aircard it would be really slow plus I've not that
many minutes. 5gig I think...going to upgrade it to a mifi unless I find out that Dish has internet if it does and can be used traveling then think
I'll switch from Direct to Dish and have the internet at least it is a thought

I full time and use AT&T for phone and internet. I can either tether my phone or use it as a Wi-Fi device. I can also be online and on the phone at the same time, tethering or using as a hotspot.

Karen, Sprint better? First time I've heard that. For best coverage, Verizon or AT&T, imo. But some others are getting better.
